The role covers reconciliations, journals, month-end, inventory, and AP/AR support, with opportunities to take on more as knowledge grows. You’ll be encouraged to ask questions, solve problems and contribute beyond routine tasks.

They're now looking for a highly driven Assistant Accountant to join that team.

About the opportunity

You’ll work closely with an experienced Senior Financial Accountant and the broader finance team that all want you to learn, contribute and get involved.

As you’d expect, there are the typical Assistant Accountant responsibilities including reconciliations, journals, month-end, inventory and supporting AP and AR, But this isn't a position where you'll simply be given a list of transactions to process.

You’ll also be encouraged to ask questions, solve problems and understand how finance supports the wider business.

You’ll be involved in:

• Core accounting activities, month-end and year-end support
• Working with teams across Operations, Supply Chain, Sales & Marketing
• Ad hoc analysis, projects and problem-solving
• Taking on more as your knowledge and capability grow

About you

You’ll probably have around 1–2 years’ accounting experience, either within a commercial business or from a professional services firm like one of the big 4 firms, and a good grounding in accounting principles.

More importantly, you’ll be curious, proactive and keen to learn. You’ll ask, "does that make sense?", take ownership and want to understand the business rather than simply complete your tasks.
