Job summary

Georges River Council is seeking an Asset Engineer to support sustainable management of its asset portfolio. You will ensure data accuracy, undertake condition and risk assessments, and contribute to planning, budgeting and decision-making to deliver community services now and in the future.

You will collaborate across Council, engage stakeholders, and help improve asset systems and data quality while working in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in engineering, project management or asset management, or minimum 3 years demonstrated relevant experience.
• Current Class C Drivers Licence
• Construction Induction (White Card)
• Proven ability to interpret design drawings
• High level of personal communication skills, both written and oral
• Ability to produce accurate, clear, concise, and timely reports
• Ability to research and source information of a technical nature
• Current knowledge of engineering practice, particularly in a Local Government context
• Sound organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
• Good understanding of civil engineering modelling software, GIS mapping, and CAD software
• Sound computer skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
