Job summary

Blayney Shire Council is seeking two Asset Systems Officers to strengthen our asset information, planning and lifecycle management. You will translate infrastructure data into financial and operational insights and support better decision-making across finance and works teams.

Ideal candidates bring engineering or asset management understanding, strong Excel, GIS and database skills, and the ability to analyse information and recommend practical actions.

Qualifications

• Has an understanding of engineering, infrastructure or asset management.
• Confident working with financial information, budgets, forecasting, data, and reconciliations.
• Has strong systems, Excel, GIS, database or asset management system capability.
• Can analyse information and turn it into practical recommendations.
• Is pro-active, organised, curious and willing to get into the details.
• Can work effectively across technical, operational and financial teams.
• Experience in Local Government is valuable, but the right mindset and transferable skills are more important.
