Job summary

Townsville City Council is seeking an Engineer Asset to manage water, wastewater, waste, civil or open space assets. You will use data-driven asset management to shape 10-year renewal and upgrade programs and advise on lifecycle costs and risk.

You will collaborate with operational teams to optimise performance and deliver sustainable outcomes for Townsville’s community infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Tertiary engineering qualification with eligibility for Engineers Australia.
• Experience in asset management and long-term capital planning.
• Strong analytical, reporting and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop 10-year capital renewal and upgrade programs.
• Assess asset condition, performance and risk to support decisions.
• Advise on maintenance, renewal and replacement strategies.
• Collaborate with operations to optimise asset performance.
• Translate asset data into practical recommendations for investment.
