Job summary

The Building Asset & Maintenance Coordinator at Anindilyakwa Land Council in Cairns North QLD is responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering maintenance across a portfolio of 128 commercial and residential structures.

You will develop preventative maintenance schedules, manage reactive requests, conduct asset inspections, maintain asset data, engage contractors, and monitor performance to keep buildings compliant, safe, and fit‑for‑purpose.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering preventative maintenance schedules and asset lifecycle plans.
• Strong maintenance coordination skills including managing reactive and planned works and monitoring contractor performance.
• Sound knowledge of compliance, safety requirements, and data/records management.

Responsibilities

• Create, update and implement preventative maintenance schedules for all assets.
• Conduct regular asset condition assessments and prioritise works based on risk and lifecycle requirements.
• Maintain accurate asset registers, lifecycle forecasts and service history.
• Manage reactive and preventative maintenance works and oversee contractor engagement and performance.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, WHS legislation and internal policies.
• Support budgeting, costing, forecasting and reporting on maintenance activities.
