Job summary

Cairns Regional Council is seeking a Building Maintenance Officer / Senior Building Maintenance Officer to ensure our building assets remain safe, compliant and fit for purpose. You will coordinate preventive and reactive maintenance across Council's building portfolio and monitor contractor performance.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating building and facility maintenance activities.
• Strong contractor management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Knowledge of building standards, maintenance practices and WHS requirements.
• Experience using asset management or maintenance management systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate preventative and reactive maintenance across Council buildings.
• Monitor contractor performance and manage maintenance requests.
• Lead maintenance and renewal programs and capital works delivery.
• Contribute to long-term asset planning and sustainability.
