What you’ll be doing
The Asset Data Officer reports into Capital Works & Asset Management Team within MNCLHD. Asset Management translates organisational objectives into asset‑related decisions, plans and activities based on a balance of cost, risk, and performance, using a whole‑of‑lifecycle approach to deliver defined service outcomes. The purpose of the role is to accurately undertake and assist with asset data collection of building spaces, infrastructure, plant and equipment across facilities within MNCLHD. The assets are to be captured to ensure accurate interpretation of location, condition, manufacturer, model, serial number, type, criticality, and function in a template and as per NSW Health and Health Infrastructure Nomenclature guidelines. Asset and condition data capture is to be consistent and categorised for upload into internal computerised maintenance management system (CMMS).

About You
You are a highly organised and technically skilled asset and facilities professional with relevant qualifications and experience supporting the management of infrastructure, plant, and equipment within large and complex organisations. You possess a strong understanding of asset lifecycle management, statutory compliance requirements, and the operational needs of diverse asset portfolios, enabling you to contribute to the safe, efficient, and sustainable management of facilities and building services.

With hands‑on experience across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire services systems, you are confident analysing asset information, monitoring performance, and supporting maintenance and improvement initiatives that enhance operational outcomes. Your technical knowledge allows you to identify issues, develop practical solutions, and ensure assets are maintained in accordance with legislative and organisational requirements.

You are proficient in the use of asset management and maintenance systems, including AutoCAD, TRIRIGA, or comparable computerised maintenance management platforms, and are highly skilled in collecting, analysing, and reporting on large volumes of asset data. Your strong computer literacy, combined with advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications and data management tools, enables you to provide accurate reporting and support informed decision‑making.

A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, you build productive relationships with stakeholders, contractors, and service providers at all levels. You are recognised for your ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver high‑quality outcomes in demanding environments. With a current Driver Licence and the flexibility to travel as required, you are committed to supporting the effective management of infrastructure and assets across a diverse operational portfolio.
