Job summary

CG Recruitment is seeking Assemblers to join our production team building high end portable offices, buildings and classrooms in the building industry from a workshop in Wacol, Queensland.

You'll work with hand tools and power tools, read simple drawings and learn on-the-job; full-time hours with overtime, and a pathway to a permanent position for the right candidate. A reliable vehicle and driver's license are essential.

Qualifications

• Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
• Confident using hand tools and power tools.
• Previous construction or building experience is highly regarded.
• Experience in concreting, carpentry or cabinet making is desirable.

Assembler, Assembly Labourer, Production Assembler.
Our client is currently for multiple Assemblers to join their production team. You'll be building high end portable offices, buildings and classrooms in the building industry.

You’ll be involved in building and constructing portable offices, buildings and classrooms for commercial businesses, residential projects and government schools. No two projects are exactly the same, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and working with their hands.

About the Role

• Use a variety of hand tools and power tools to build and construct portable buildings and classrooms.

• Work with timber, steel and a range of other building materials.

• Read and interpret basic engineering drawings to bring custom designs to life.

• Work in a spacious, open workshop environment alongside an experienced and supportive team.

• Receive on-the-job training and development to build your skills and knowledge.

What We’re Looking For

• Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle to get to and from the workshop.

• Confidence using hand tools and power tools.

• Previous construction or building experience is highly regarded.

• Experience in concreting, carpentry or cabinet making will be highly regarded.

• A strong work ethic, willingness to learn and ability to work as part of a team.

• $34.96 per hour + penalties

• Full-time hours with overtime available when required.
