Job summary

voestalpine Railway Systems Australia Pty Ltd is seeking personnel for assembly and fabrication activities in our Australian rail production facility. The role emphasizes safe, efficient manufacturing while meeting quality and production targets.

Ideally you have experience in manufacturing, assembly or labouring environments, operate hand and power tools, and can work both independently and as part of a team in a physically demanding setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, assembly, fabrication or labouring environments preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work safely.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Reliable, safety-focused and able to follow instructions.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Experience using measuring tools, grinders or pneumatic tools is advantageous.

To perform assembly and fabrication activities in a manner that supports safe, efficient and high-quality production while meeting productivity, and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

Perform assembly, fabrication, soldering, brazing, and other production-related tasks in accordance with company standards and procedures.

Follow all safety policies, procedures, and workplace health and safety requirements.

Maintain product quality by following work instructions and quality standards.

Complete tasks efficiently to help achieve production targets and deadlines.

Safely handle materials, components, and equipment to minimise risk and prevent damage.

Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

Conduct basic measurements and checks to ensure products meet required specifications.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.

Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to support operational requirements.

Assist with a range of physical and manual handling tasks as required.

About you

Previous experience in a manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, or labouring environment preferred.

Ability to perform physically demanding work and manual handling tasks safely.

Experience using hand and power tools.

Reliable, safety-focused, and able to follow instructions.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience using measuring tools, grinders, or pneumatic tools is advantageous.
