Job summary

voestalpine Railway Systems Australia Pty Ltd is seeking personnel for assembly and fabrication activities in our Australian rail production facility. The role emphasizes safe, efficient manufacturing while meeting quality and production targets.

Ideally you have experience in manufacturing, assembly or labouring environments, operate hand and power tools, and can work both independently and as part of a team in a physically demanding setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, assembly, fabrication or labouring environments preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work safely.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Reliable, safety-focused and able to follow instructions.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Experience using measuring tools, grinders or pneumatic tools is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly, fabrication, soldering, brazing and other production tasks.
• Follow safety policies and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Maintain product quality by following work instructions and standards.
• Complete tasks efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Safely handle materials, components and equipment to minimise risk.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Conduct basic measurements to ensure specifications.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organised work area.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to support operations.
• Assist with physical and manual handling tasks as required.
