Ideal candidates hold a current driver’s licence and proven asphalt paving experience, with tickets for skid-steer or related equipment preferred. You’ll join a team focused on quality, continuous improvement, and on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Current Driver's Licence is mandatory.

Are you an experienced asphalt worker who knows their way around paving machinery?

We're looking for a skilled Plant Operator to join a hard-working, busy asphalt crew. If you enjoy a mix of operating heavy machinery and getting hands-on with the team, this is the role for you.

What you’ll be doing:

Operating machinery: Driving pavers, steel/multi-rollers, and skid steers (bobcats).

Hands-on teamwork: Pitching in with manual labour like raking, shovelling, sweeping, and spotting trucks.

Quality control: Monitoring asphalt spread rates, depth, and surface texture.

Daily maintenance: Handling pre-starts, clean-downs, and site housekeeping.

What you need (Experience & Tickets):

Current Driver's Licence (Mandatory).

Industry Experience: Proven background in asphalt paving operations.

Plant Tickets/VOCs: Competency to safely operate paving equipment. Existing tickets for a Front-End Loader, Forklift, Bobcat (Skid Steer), or an Asphalt Paver (specifically the unit RIICBS305E - Conduct Asphalt Paver Operation) are strongly preferred

Physical Fitness: Happy to jump out of the cab for manual labour, lift up to 25kg, and work in hot, outdoor environments.

Team Player: A strong communicator with a safety-first mindset.
