Job summary

Wilken Service Pty Ltd, based in Caringbah with projects across Sydney, seeks experienced Cable Jointers with strong HV capability to join a growing team on Level 1 and Level 2 ASP works for Ausgrid and Endeavour Energy networks, along with private HV projects.

Role includes day, night, and occasional weekend work, with immediate start and ongoing training. Competitive hourly rate and long-term employment under EBA conditions offered.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in ESI - Power Systems (Distribution Cable Jointing) or equivalent.
• At least 2 years' experience as a Cable Jointer.
• Current or previous ASP1/ASP2 accreditation.
• Electrical safety training for Ausgrid and Endeavour Energy authorisations.

Responsibilities

• HV and LV cable jointing up to and including 22kV.
• Substation installation and fitting.

Job description

$65-$70 per hour, depending on experience | Permanent full-time | EBA conditions | Immediate start

Wilken Service Pty Ltd is based in Caringbah, with projects across Sydney.

Bring your cable jointing skills to an established civil electrical contractor delivering Level 1 and Level 2 ASP works across Ausgrid and Endeavour Energy networks, alongside private HV infrastructure projects.

We're looking for experienced Cable Jointers with strong HV capability who take pride in their workmanship and want long-term employment, competitive pay and opportunities to develop their skills.

HV substation installation and fitting experience will be highly regarded.

About the role

You'll work on varied network and private infrastructure projects throughout Sydney, including:

• HV and LV cable jointing up to and including 22kV
• Substation installation and fitting
• Private HV infrastructure
• Street lighting and electrical infrastructure
• Level 1 and Level 2 network construction

The role includes day shifts, night works and occasional weekend work as required.

What you'll need

• Certificate III in ESI - Power Systems (Distribution Cable Jointing), or equivalent
• At least two years' experience as a Cable Jointer
• Current or previous ASP1/ASP2 accreditation
• Relevant electrical safety training for Ausgrid and Endeavour Energy authorisations
• Construction White Card and current driver's licence
• Basic computer skills, including using tablets, laptops and Microsoft systems
• Willingness to travel to project sites across Sydney
• Ability to complete a pre-employment medical
• A strong commitment to safe work practices and quality workmanship

• $65-$70 per hour, depending on experience

• Superannuation and overtime paid at applicable penalty rates
• A 40-hour week, with two hours accrued towards a monthly RDO
