Job summary

Wilken Service Pty Ltd, an Australian-owned electrical contractor based in Caringbah, seeks experienced Civil Labourers/Operators to support Sydney projects on ABN contracts.

You'll contribute to civil construction activities for electrical infrastructure, with roles including trenching, material handling, and operating excavators when trained.

Contracting rate is $100 per hour; there is potential for ongoing work and PPE is supplied.

Wilken Service Pty Ltd is based in Caringbah, with work across Sydney.

Wilken Service Pty Ltd is an Australian-owned company established in 1981, specialising in electrical contracting, civil infrastructure, ASP1 contestable works and private high voltage projects.

We’re seeking experienced Civil Labourers/Operators operating under an ABN to support our crews on Sydney projects. If you’re reliable, safety-focused and take pride in hands‑on work, we’d like to hear from you.

About the work

You’ll assist with civil construction activities supporting electrical infrastructure projects, including:

• Hand excavation, trenching, backfilling and general civil labouring
• Moving materials and using hand and power tools
• Assisting plant operators and other crew members
• Operating excavators where appropriately trained, competent and authorised
• Keeping work areas tidy and safe
• Following site safety requirements and coordinating with supervisors to complete works efficiently

What you’ll need

• A valid Australian Business Number (ABN)
• Current Public Liability insurance and Workers Compensation insurance, where applicable
• Current MR or HR driver’s licence
• Construction White Card
• Practical knowledge of construction tools, equipment and safe work practices
• Ability to undertake physical, outdoor work
• Reliability, clear communication and the ability to work independently and within a crew
• Willingness to travel to project sites across Sydney
• Current ASP statutory refresher training is highly regarded.
• Ausgrid and Endeavour Energy electrical safety training can be provided where required.
