Job summary

Far West Local Health District in Broken Hill is seeking an Employment Type: Permanent Part Time Health Education Officer Non Grad to support the Adult Survivors Program. The role focuses on care navigation, outreach and connecting adults who experienced child sexual abuse to health, social and community services.

You'll work in a trauma-informed, culturally safe, person-centred way, collaborating with government, non-government and community partners to improve access and outcomes for diverse

Qualifications

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a trauma-informed, client-centred environment.
Understanding of culturally safe and responsive practice with Aboriginal communities.

Responsibilities

Support adults who experienced child sexual abuse to navigate health, community and social support services.
Promote equitable access to care through outreach, service navigation and consumer engagement.
Coordinate group programs and collaborate with government, non-government and community partners to connect consumers with services.
