Job summary

Artistree Professional Tree Care is seeking an experienced arborist to join our team in the Melbourne metropolitan area and Mornington Peninsula. You will work on residential, commercial and institutional projects with skilled arborists on technically challenging trees.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Arboriculture or equivalent is required.
• Ability to prune and remove safely with correct arboricultural practices.
• Reliable, physically capable and works well in a crew.
• Current Victorian driver’s licence and right to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Prune and remove trees to high-quality standards.
• Manage veteran and significant trees and provide tree support systems.
• Operate crane-assisted removals and form/ habitat pruning.
• Work across residential, commercial and institutional sites.

The Work

Our work includes:

• tree pruning and removals

• Veteran and significant-tree management

• Tree support systems, including cabling, bracing and propping

• Crane-assisted removals

• Formative, reduction and habitat pruning

You won’t be limited to repetitive clearing work. We want someone who is interested in developing their skills and becoming a stronger, more complete arborist.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds a Certificate III in Arboriculture or equivalent qualification

• Can complete pruning and removal work safely and efficiently

• Understands correct arboricultural practices

• Takes pride in the quality of their work

• Is reliable, physically capable and able to work well within a crew

• Communicates professionally with clients and teammates

• Holds a current Victorian driver’s licence

• Has the right to work in Australia

A medium or heavy rigid truck licence is highly regarded but not essential.

Additional qualifications—including EWP, chainsaw, rigging, traffic management and first aid—will also be viewed favourably.

We are not looking for someone who merely turns up and goes through the motions. We want an arborist who cares about the profession, contributes to the crew and wants to keep improving.
