Job summary

face2face Recruitment is seeking an APS 6 Policy Officer to contribute to a significant reform agenda. You will develop policy, strategies and projects, and work with stakeholders to prepare high-quality government documents.

Responsibilities include leading policy reform, engaging with internal and external stakeholders, and using data to inform evidence-based recommendations while navigating governance arrangements.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical, conceptual, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and writing skills for a government audience.
• Experience developing and implementing policy, projects or reform programs.
• Ability to prepare policy papers, reports, briefings and correspondence.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and a collaborative working style.
• Strategic policy, legislation or disability sector knowledge is highly regarded.

Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, you will use data, technical inputs and sound judgement to develop recommendations, progress reform initiatives and prepare high-quality government documentation.
