Job summary

face2face Recruitment is seeking an APS 6 Policy Officer to contribute to a significant reform agenda. You will develop policy, strategies and projects, and work with stakeholders to prepare high-quality government documents.

Responsibilities include leading policy reform, engaging with internal and external stakeholders, and using data to inform evidence-based recommendations while navigating governance arrangements.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical, conceptual, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and writing skills for a government audience.
• Experience developing and implementing policy, projects or reform programs.
• Ability to prepare policy papers, reports, briefings and correspondence.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and a collaborative working style.
• Strategic policy, legislation or disability sector knowledge is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement reform policy, strategies and strategic projects.
• Build and manage productive internal and external stakeholder relationships.
• Prepare high-quality policy, project and corporate documents for review.
• Design, contribute to and lead stakeholder engagement activities.
• Use data and technical inputs to develop evidence-based recommendations.
• Apply sound judgement to progress work within governance arrangements.
