Job summary

JLG, an Oshkosh company, is offering an apprenticeship in the workshop in Australia. The apprentice will assist Workshop Technicians with pre-delivery of machines, servicing and repairs to elevating work platforms, telehandlers and lighting towers.

This four-year program includes on-the-job training and theory blocks with a registered training organisation, with emphasis on safety, attention to detail and teamwork within a leading global maker of access equipment.

Qualifications

• Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal
• Good listening skills including the ability to follow instruction
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient language, literacy and numeracy
• Mature minded and reliable

Responsibilities

• Assist Workshop Technicians with evaluating machine performance and inspections
• Assist with installing, testing, repairing and modifying electronic and hydraulic equipment
• Conduct pre-delivery inspections and ensure machines are in good working order
• Assist with repairs and maintenance of elevating work platforms, telehandlers and lighting towers
• Perform general workshop duties and adhere to site safety policies
