Job summary

JLG Industries invites applicants for an apprentice role in Australia. You will assist Workshop Technicians, perform pre-delivery checks and support service/repair work on Elevating Work Platforms, telehandlers, and lighting towers.

Key duties include inspecting performance, assisting with repairs, and complying with WHS and environmental policies while progressing through a four-year apprenticeship with on-the-job training and theory components.

Qualifications

• The candidate must commit to a 4 year apprenticeship with on-the-job training and block theory with a registered training organization.
• Ability to communicate written and verbal effectively.
• Good listening skills and ability to follow instruction.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient literacy and numeracy, including reading manuals and understanding quantities.
• Mature minded and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Learning about and assisting with evaluating machine performance.
• Inspecting designs and finished products for specifications.
• Assisting with installing, testing, repairing and modifying electronic and hydraulic equipment.
• Conducting pre-delivery inspections and assessing machines for good working order.
• Assisting with repairs and maintenance of elevating work platforms, telehandlers and lighting towers.
• General workshop duties including cleaning and tidying.
