Job summary

Busways in Blacktown is offering an apprenticeship opportunity for Auto Body Repair. You will start a 4-year training contract to complete a nationally recognised Auto Body Repair Cert III, with on-the-job learning and TAFE attendance under guided supervision.

You will train with a team on modern vehicle technologies, receive full training, and work toward becoming a qualified tradesperson within a supportive, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of grade 10 or above high schooling or tertiary equivalent.
• Good Mathematics, Science and English skills.
• A strong work ethic, reliable, punctual and committed to completing the trade qualification.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, learn the skills required to be part of the Workshop team.
• Perform minor repairs and service of vehicles and equipment under supervision.
• Enter into a 4-year training contract for Auto Body Repair - Cert III Automotive Body Repair Technology.
• Complete all units of the apprenticeship to the required standards and timeframes.
• Attend required TAFE classes under mentors, supervisor and teachers.
• Adhere to all Work, Health & Safety requirements.

Role Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, this role requires you to have a mature and professional approach with excellent communication skills. Your main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Under supervision, learning the skills required to be part of the Workshop team
• Performing minor repairs and service of vehicles and equipment,in a timely manner, within your skill level and experience, under the supervision of a qualified tradesperson
• Enter intoa 4-year training contract within a secure employment environment, undertaking a nationally recognised training programinAuto Body Repair - Cert III Automotive Body Repair Technology
• Completing all units of the apprenticeship to the required standards and within the requiredtime frame(s)
• Attending all required TAFE classes under the guidance of your mentors,supervisorand teachers
• Adhering to all Work, Health & Safety requirements whilst performing work duties

You will have the opportunity to:

• Work alongside trade qualified staff toassistthe team in meeting the daily operational requirements whilst learning a trade along the way

You can expect to be provided with all necessarytraining,this will include relevant information about our various makes and models of vehicles to ensure a thorough understanding of standards required to meet contract obligations.
