Owned and operated by Peabody Energy, Centurion Mine is building a high-performing team committed to setting new benchmarks in underground coal mining. Centurion has now transitioned into longwall production, marking a significant step in establishing a world-class underground operation as one of Queensland's newest underground longwall operations.
In the fixed-term position, the successful candidate will show an ability to work safely in an underground mining environment, demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills, be motivated to learn and develop new skills, and have the ability to work constructively within a team.
The positions will be offered on a roster arrangement. Local residents are encouraged to apply.
Both mature age applicants and students currently completing Year 12 are welcome to apply.If Year 12 has already been completed, the minimum requirement is that candidates achieved a Pass in Pre-vocational English and Mathematics or possess equivalent qualifications.
