Jobstar in Frankston is seeking an Apprentice Baker who is an early riser and eager to learn. This entry-level role offers hands-on training in commercial baking and a clear pathway to a nationally recognised baking qualification.

You will learn dough preparation, mixing, baking breads and pastries, and how to operate bakery equipment safely while maintaining a clean workspace and adhering to food safety standards.

Qualifications

• No prior baking experience required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
• Apprentice role with on-the-job training and support.
• Early morning availability required.
• Ability to work in a team and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and mix doughs and batters.
• Bake breads, rolls, pastries and other bakery products.
• Operate bakery equipment safely.

Working Hours

• 2:00am – 10:00am
• Tuesday to Saturday, with an additional day as required

About the Role

As an Apprentice Baker, you will learn all aspects of commercial baking, including:

• Preparing and mixing doughs and batters
• Baking breads, rolls, pastries and other bakery products
• Operating bakery equipment safely
• Maintaining a clean and organised workspace
• Assisting with daily production
• Following food safety and quality standards
