Job summary

BAC Australia is seeking an Applications Engineer for a 12-month maternity leave contract, with potential extension. The role involves providing technical support, product selection expertise and application solutions for BAC’s cooling tower and heat rejection technologies to a diverse client base.

Ideal candidates will have engineering credentials, strong communication, and hands-on experience with CAD tools, ERP/CRM and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Degree, diploma or trade qualification in Engineering, Business or related discipline.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in technical products and solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, with ability to explain technical information clearly.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and exposure to ERP, CRM, AutoCAD, Revit or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare product selections and technical recommendations.
• Support quotations, proposals and project submissions.
• Provide technical and application support to customers and internal teams.
• Assist with new business opportunities and customer enquiries.
• Develop technical documentation, presentations and sales tools.
• Support product launches, technical training and industry events.
• Analyse product, customer and market data to support decision-making.
• Work collaboratively across Sales, Engineering and Production teams.
