Job summary

Sarb Management Group is seeking an Application Support Specialist to join our Data Services team. You will be responsible for ongoing support, maintenance, monitoring, and administration of client applications, databases and data processing services, ensuring reliability and adherence to SLAs.

In this role you will handle incidents, configure data processing jobs, perform health checks and document knowledge bases. A strong customer-service mindset and 2+ years in a similar role are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or diploma in computing or related field.
• 2+ years in Application Support or similar role.
• Strong SQL scripting and database querying.
• Knowledge of incident management, SLA-driven support and ETL concepts.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for application support needs and incidents.
• Configure data processing jobs and respond within service levels.
• Log and update support requests in the service desk system.
• Create and maintain SQL scripts to support client operations.
• Perform system health checks to ensure availability and performance.
• Oversee daily tasks including SFTP transfers and automated processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and automate tasks.
• Maintain support documentation and knowledge bases.
