Job summary

Uber is seeking a Strategy & Planning Lead for the APAC Delivery Central team in Sydney. You will lead a six-person team across Governance & Planning, Strategic Initiatives & Growth Bets, and Market Intelligence, setting the standards, tools, and rhythm for APAC and country S&P teams.

In a player-coach role, you will drive the region's top strategic bets, partner with senior leaders, and shape how Uber moves in the market. Strong leadership, analytics, and stakeholder influence are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in strategy, operations, or consultancy with large initiatives.
• Proven leadership and people development in high-performing teams.
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving in ambiguous environments.
• Exceptional communication and storytelling to senior leaders.
• Ability to influence decisions at the highest levels and manage stakeholders.
• High business and financial acumen with data-driven decision making.
• Genuine interest in online food delivery and Uber’s strategy.
• Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead a six-person APAC Strategy & Planning team across governance, growth bets, and market intelligence.
• Establish end-to-end APAC delivery governance and planning cycles.
• Own data-to-insights for competition and market intelligence in APAC.
• Incubate and assess strategic initiatives and opportunities across the region.
• Drive prioritisation, sizing, and GTM planning for growth bets.
• Guide geographic prioritisation and capital allocation frameworks.
• Oversee headcount governance and central-country S&P alignment.
• Partner with senior APAC leaders to turn inputs into clear recommendations.
