Job summary

Smartsheet is seeking a Solutions Engineer (Commercial) based in Sydney to partner with Sales, provide technical leadership through the sales cycle, and act as a trusted advisor to prospects and clients during evaluations. Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in PreSales Solutions Engineering, Solutions Consultant or related roles in SaaS/enterprise B2B.
• Strong ability to analyze and synthesize complex problems and present solutions clearly.
• Proven track record of selling across multiple lines of business.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Comfort working in ambiguous, high-pressure situations with technical leadership.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and practical business applications.

Responsibilities

• Identify, build, and demonstrate Smartsheet solutions addressing customer problems.
• Lead technical sales engagements and design solutions with cross-functional teams.
• Conduct discovery sessions to map business processes and inform strategy.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and Professional Services.
• Maintain knowledge of Smartsheet products, services, and competitors.
• Support virtual and in-person marketing events and initiatives.
• Participate in cross-functional projects to support strategic initiatives.
• Provide feedback to Product teams to align solutions with customer needs.
• Travel to customer sites as a technical subject matter expert.
