Job summary

URUS Group in Melbourne seeks an APAC Senior Manager, People to partner with regional leaders and the global People Team, delivering practical HR solutions across APAC from Melbourne. Balance strategic partnership with hands-on execution across the full employee lifecycle.

You will lead workforce planning, talent acquisition, development, and employee engagement while ensuring compliance with Australian employment laws and delivering data-driven insights to leaders.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Human Resources or People roles with matrix experience.
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field.
• Experience across employee relations, talent and performance management, and workforce planning.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and HR best practices.
• Experience with HRIS platforms such as Oracle or ADP.
• Strong data interpretation and ability to provide actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to influence leaders and drive change.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Interest in agriculture and bovine industry valued.

Responsibilities

• Partner with APAC leaders to translate business priorities into effective people strategies and action plans.
• Provide guidance on workforce planning, organisational changes, employee relations, and leadership challenges.
• Collaborate with the global URUS People Team on enterprise-wide programmes and best practices.
• Coordinate regional People initiatives and ensure communication, follow-through and stakeholder support.
• Partner with hiring managers and global Talent Acquisition to support recruitment and onboarding.
• Lead performance management processes and coach managers.
• Coordinate learning and development programmes for leadership growth.
• Foster a high-performing, inclusive workplace culture.
• Ensure compliance with Australian employment legislation and HR policies.
• Maintain accurate People data and reporting with Shared Services.
