Job summary

Sodali & Co is seeking a payroll and People Operations professional to join our APAC team in Sydney. The role combines payroll management across Australia, Hong Kong, Korea, and Japan with HR administrative support and policy compliance.

The successful candidate will own end-to-end payroll processes, maintain confidential records, and collaborate with Finance and People teams to streamline operations and reporting. Advanced Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering end-to-end payroll across APAC.
• Ability to take primary ownership of a payroll-focused role (≈60%).
• Hands-on experience with ADP Celergo.
• Knowledge of payroll compliance, taxation, superannuation, and employment legislation.
• Experience supporting People Operations or HR administration activities (≈40%).
• Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and cross-jurisdictional work.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage full end-to-end payroll function across APAC regions (Australia, Hong Kong, Korea, and Japan).
• Maintain payroll records, resolve payroll queries, and ensure confidentiality of payroll data.
• Reconcile payroll reports and partner with Finance to ensure accurate accounting and reporting of payroll costs.
• Ensure compliance with local taxation, superannuation, and employment legislation.
• Assist with day-to-day People Operations, including onboarding and offboarding, contracts, and policies.
• Support the development of HR dashboards and reporting frameworks.
