Job summary

SIG Susquehanna seeks a detail-oriented Payroll Officer to own monthly outsourced payroll across Japan, Singapore and Shanghai, with potential to expand into Hong Kong and India. You’ll be the liaison with external payroll providers, ensuring accurate payments and compliance.

You’ll validate inputs, resolve discrepancies, and support statutory reporting. A full-time or 4-day-per-week part-time arrangement is available, with opportunities for growth within the Asia Pacific region.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing outsourced payroll providers
• Detail-oriented with rigorous data validation
• Ability to manage multiple country deadlines and priorities
• Comfortable coordinating with vendors across time zones
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Excel and HRIS systems

Responsibilities

• Manage the monthly end-to-end outsourced payroll for Japan, Singapore and Shanghai
• Review and validate payroll inputs (new starters, leavers, changes) before submission
• Check outputs for accuracy and resolve discrepancies with vendors
• Reconcile payroll with internal records and GL entries
• Ensure payroll is processed in line with country deadlines
• Respond to employee payroll queries promptly and professionally
• Support statutory reporting and year-end processes across jurisdictions
• Maintain accurate payroll records in compliance with data privacy/audit requirements
• Build relationships with HR, Finance and payroll partners
• Learn Hong Kong and India payroll as scope expands with training provided
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and controls across the region
• Provide team support during peak periods and cross-train colleagues
