Job summary

RHAELM is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer based in Australia to embed with strategic customers, scoping, building, and shipping production AI systems. You will own hands-on delivery of complex deployments and report to the FDE Lead for Asia Pacific & Japan.

Your field insight will shape our global product roadmap, and you will collaborate with regional teams to ensure production readiness, security, and compliance in customer environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 1+ years in a forward-deployed, solutions engineering, or customer-embedded role.
• Track record of shipping full-stack systems, data pipelines, or AI/LLM-based apps to production.
• Experience in enterprise/government environments with security and data residency constraints.

Responsibilities

• Own discovery and technical scoping for customer deployments.
• Build and ship production AI systems within customer environments.
• Act as technical owner for escalated production issues.
• Coordinate with regional leads to align delivery with requirements.
• Develop reusable deployment patterns and tooling for faster delivery.
• Provide field feedback to product and research teams.
