Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Australia seeks a CDS Technician to deploy and service Building Management and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems across data centers. You will work with diverse teams and suppliers to ensure health, security, and reliability of facilities in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with Construction, Commissioning, and Operations teams, mentor site staff, and participate in global programs while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of data center engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of network design and low voltage cabling.
• Experience in data center engineering or operations.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain critical BMS and EPMS systems across multiple data centers, ensuring optimal performance.
• Manage installations from server provisioning to sensor calibration, supervising contractor work, and ensuring safety and quality standards.
• Drive operational excellence: commissioning support, root cause analysis, system documentation, and change management.
• Mentor facilities teams on system operations and collaborate with vendors on tests and design improvements.
• Respond to emergencies, manage on-call rotations, oversee service agreements, and maintain data center availability.
