Job summary

WE HELP OURSELVES in Lilyfield NSW is seeking two dedicated AOD Community Service Workers to join the Gateway program. These full-time roles support clients in the final stages of residential treatment and help them re-integrate into the community through a structured, supportive program.

Applicants should have a Certificate IV or higher in AOD or related field, at least two years of AOD experience, and a current First Aid Certificate.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV or higher in AOD, Community Services, Mental Health or related field.
• Minimum two years’ experience in AOD work.
• Knowledge of AOD, health, mental health and other related sectors.
• Case management experience.
• Capacity to assist clients with their employment and training goals.
• Ability to lead groups.
• Ability to work within a residential treatment service.
• Ability to assist clients to further develop harm minimisation and relapse prevention strategies.
• Unrestricted driving license.
• A current First Aid Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provide services to clients in the Gateway program who have completed the main residential TC treatment.
• Support clients in re-integration back into the community through a structured and supported program.
• Contribute to a residential treatment service environment.
• Collaborate with teams to implement harm minimisation and relapse prevention strategies.
