Job summary

The Salvation Army in Tasmania is seeking an After-Hours Support Worker for the Bridge Alcohol and Other Drug recovery Program based in Ulverstone. This fixed-term, part-time role (16 hours per week) involves providing after-hours support for residents, ensuring policy compliance and assisting a team of case workers.

Shifts include 4:00pm–8:00am on weekdays, 4:00pm–8:30am on Fri-Sat, and 8:00am–4:00pm on weekends; flexibility is essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV level qualification in relevant field (AOD or Mental Health) or related experience.
• Ability to understand and respond to residents with AOD issues.
• First Aid certificate is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide after-hours support for residents in the Bridge Program.
• Support case workers by ensuring program policy compliance after hours.
• Assess client needs and manage crisis situations outside business hours.
