Job summary

The Salvation Army in Ulverstone, TAS, is seeking an After Hours Support Worker for the Bridge Alcohol and Other Drug recovery Program. This fixed-term, part-time role (16 hours/week) provides after-hours resident support and helps ensure policy compliance and crisis management outside business hours.

You will join a team of case workers, supporting residents and contributing to a holistic care model. The role requires shift flexibility, including sleepovers.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in AOD or Mental Health or related field.
• Ability to understand and respond to AOD-related needs.
• Current First Aid Certificate.
• Current Tasmanian Driver's Licence.
• Working with Vulnerable Persons Check.
• Willing to undergo National Police Check.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the centre to a high level of cleanliness and tidiness.
• Provide clients with a welcoming initial contact and address urgent needs.
• Take appropriate preventive action in high-risk situations.
• Assess client issues and develop strategies to address needs.
• Establish relationships that support self-determination and participation.
• Support clients to implement case plans per TSA standards.
• Assist clients to access support services and community supports.
