Job summary

Troocoo Pty, in partnership with the Queensland Government, seeks an AO5 Media and Communications Officer for a contract through to 27 January 2027, with potential extension. Based in Albion, you will contribute to proactive and reactive media, strategic communications and creative content development.

You will write, edit and publish high-quality content for diverse audiences, manage media inquiries, and build relationships with government, industry and community stakeholders.

Troocoo is partnering with Queensland Government to recruit an AO5 Media and Communications Officer for a contract opportunity through to the end of January 2027, with the possibility of extension.

This is an exciting opportunity for a communications professional who enjoys working across proactive and reactive media, strategic communications and creative content development. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality communications that inform stakeholders, support organisational initiatives and strengthen relationships with industry and the broader community.

Based in Albion, you will join a collaborative team where your writing, stakeholder engagement and creative skills will contribute to a range of communication initiatives across traditional and digital channels.

What You’ll Be Doing

About You

You are a confident and adaptable communications professional with strong writing skills, sound judgement and the ability to deliver engaging content for diverse audiences. You enjoy working across media, digital communications and stakeholder engagement, and can confidently manage both planned communications activities and time-sensitive media requests.

You will bring:

Experience in communications, media or a related field will be highly regarded. Familiarity with social media platforms, digital communication tools and content management systems will also be beneficial.
