Job summary

The Athlete’s Foot in Sydney (Alexandria) is seeking a National Training Manager ANZ to lead the strategy that builds capability and product knowledge for store teams across Australia and New Zealand. Travel across the region is required and you’ll report to the General Manager - The Athlete’s Foot.

You’ll oversee a team of State Training Managers, drive onboarding, accreditation pathways from Fit Technician to Master Fit, and collaborate with area and store managers to deliver practical

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading a national or multi-site training, learning and development function.
• Experience leading and developing a team, with the ability to coach, motivate and create accountability.
• Strong retail, sales or customer experience background, ideally within a multi-site environment.
• Proven capability in designing and delivering engaging learning programs for frontline teams and leaders.
• Strong facilitation and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage all levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the national training strategy and annual training calendar, aligned to business priorities, seasonal campaigns and sales objectives.
• Lead, coach and develop the State Training Manager team across Australia and New Zealand.
• Identify capability gaps across the store network and translate business needs into practical learning and development programs.
• Design and facilitate onboarding, induction, product knowledge, customer experience and sales training.
• Own and evolve the accreditation pathway from Fit Technician to Master Fit across the network.
• Lead national training programs, seminars and events including Fit Uni, Future Leaders and TAF Conference.
• Partner with Area and Store Managers to develop targeted coaching and capability plans.
• Own the Learning Management System, monitoring completion, compliance and training effectiveness.
• Design leadership development programs to support succession planning and internal career progression.
• Partner with Buying, Planning and Marketing to support training for product launches and campaigns.
• Support rollout of new technology and initiatives by developing content and facilitating pilots.
• Measure training impact using KPIs like sales performance, conversion and completion rates.
• Manage the national training budget and relationships with external providers and RTOs.
• Ensure content aligns with Australian and NZ compliance, OH&S and legislative requirements.
