Job summary

Seven Media Group in Griffith is seeking a Hit Workday Announcer to host shifts from our local studio and deliver compelling, locally targeted content to listeners. You will collaborate with the Content Director to meet strategic objectives through on-air branding, planning, and cross‑platform delivery.

You may fill in for staff on leave and must embrace the Hit brand across on-air, social, and digital channels. Experience with Zetta and radio scheduling is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in live radio hosting or announcer roles.
• Knowledge of broadcasting standards and industry codes of practice.
• Ability to operate radio automation and playout systems.

About the role

As a Hit Workday Announcer, you’ll host shifts from our Griffith studios and will be responsible for delivering compelling local and well targeted engaging content to our listeners.

In this role, you will work closely with the Content Director to ensure the station's strategic objectives are achieved through excellent local communication, effective tactical planning/execution and on air work that makes you stand out. You should embrace the Hit brand and lifestyle through our many content outlets, including; on-air, social and digital.

You may be required to fill in shifts when staff are on leave.

What You’ll Need

• Be passionate about our Hit audience and it’s music!
• Be competent with commercial radio music scheduling experience.
• Have knowledge of Zetta.
• Have an understanding of CRA's Codes of Practice and Broadcasting Standards.
• Proficiency in driving the panel and being pro-active in all facets of your role to take your own career to the next level.
• Enjoy popular culture, social media, current affairs and local events; with a passion for taking content to the next level, both on air and on digital!
• A reliable, hardworking and results driven individual who's able to multitask and perform effectively under pressure
• A distinctive on air presence that naturally appeals to our listeners and a burning desire to be heard!
