Job summary

Monks is seeking an Analytics Engineer to build the data foundations for client marketing decisions. Join our Sydney/M Melbourne hybrid Data team as a mid‑level, full‑time professional, contributing to measurement strategy, data engineering, reporting, and AI‑driven tooling.

You will work with GA4, BigQuery, Looker Studio, and the Google Marketing Platform, building pipelines and governance for reliable analytics and client reporting.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills and experience building data models in BigQuery.
• Hands‑on use of GA4 BigQuery export schemas and data pipelines.
• Experience with Python for data work and automation.
• Familiarity with Looker Studio dashboards and Looker data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines from GA4 and ad platform data into BigQuery.
• Model raw event data into clean tables using SQL and dbt/Dataform.
• Orchestrate jobs with Airflow/Cloud Composer.
• Develop data quality tests and monitoring for dashboards.
• Design semantic layer behind Looker Studio dashboards and ensure consistent metrics.
