Job summary

The Star Entertainment Group in NSW or QLD is seeking an Analyst for Corporate Risk Advisory & Controls to support risk and regulatory compliance across Corporate functions. You will perform risk assessments, conduct control testing, and drive remediation in partnership with control owners and stakeholders.

This role requires a relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Accounting, Auditing, Risk, Law or Economics, with industry certifications viewed favourably.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Risk, Compliance, Assurance or Controls Testing within casino, gaming, banking, corporate or government environments.
  • Strong risk and control mindset with ability to identify gaps, assess effectiveness and provide practical recommendations.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with experience conducting risk assessments and root cause analysis.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills to influence and build trusted relationships.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Accounting, Auditing, Risk, Law, Economics or related discipline; industry certifications viewed favourably.

Responsibilities

  • Perform risk and control assessments across Corporate functions to identify, evaluate and mitigate operational, compliance and regulatory risks.
  • Execute control testing and walkthroughs to assess design and operating effectiveness, identify gaps and support remediation opportunities.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and control owners to strengthen risk management, clarify control responsibilities and drive remediation outcomes.
  • Provide risk and compliance advice on business and regulatory change initiatives and embed applicable controls.
  • Support incident, issue and action management including root cause analysis and remediation tracking.
  • Prepare risk and compliance reporting and insights for management and governance forums, maintaining records in the Group's GRC system.

As our Analyst, Corporate Risk Advisory & Controls based in either NSW or QLD and reporting to the Group Manager Assurance is responsible for supporting Corporate divisions to adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.

This is a fantastic opportunity where you will play a key role in assessing TSEG's compliance with financial crime regulatory requirements, internal policies and risk management frameworks, and the effectiveness of the financial crime control environment.

A few of your responsibilities

  • Support incident, issue and action management, including root cause analysis, remediation tracking and oversight of audit and assurance outcomes
  • Prepare risk and compliance reporting and insights for management and governance forums, while maintaining accurate records within the Group's GRC system

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence, challenge constructively and build trusted relationships across the business.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Accounting, Auditing, Risk, Law, Economics or a related discipline, with industry certifications viewed favourably
