Job summary

The Star Entertainment Group in Sydney seeks a Technology Controls Manager to lead technology controls testing and risk management within its Risk & Compliance function. This 12-month contract role focuses on identifying, assessing, and strengthening technology-based controls to meet regulatory requirements.

You will conduct risk walkthroughs, test control design and effectiveness, and escalate issues to governance forums while collaborating with stakeholders across the organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years’ experience in technology risk management.
• Strong understanding of technology operational risk and controls in regulated environments.
• Knowledge of audit and assessment standards (CISA, CRISC).
• Familiarity with cyber security frameworks (NIST, Essential 8, ISO 27000, PCI DSS).
• Excellent governance and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Job description

As a Technology Controls Manager, reporting to the Director Controls and Testing and Compliance, you will lead defined controls testing with a focus on Technology controls.

The role will ensure that compliance and operational risks are effectively identified, assessed managed, while supporting The Star Sydney in meeting its regulatory requirements.

This is a fantastic opportunity where you can put your skills and knowledge to the test to deliver a thrilling new era for our Risk and Compliance team on a 12-month contract.

What we are looking for:
