Job summary

St John WA is seeking an experienced Operations Lead (Ambulance Operations) based in Northam to oversee all operational aspects of the ambulance service for Wheatbelt North, with regular travel across the district. You will lead crews to deliver high-quality care, manage resources, and ensure safety and compliance across the district.

The role requires leadership of a diverse workforce, collaboration with multiple departments, and ongoing performance monitoring to meet KPIs.

Qualifications

• Deliver high-quality service meeting performance targets.
• Knowledge of ambulance healthcare regulations and standards.
• Support resource planning, budget management and performance evaluation.
• Lead a diverse workforce including volunteers across a wide area.
• Understand clinical governance, risk management and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage partners.

• Support the District Operations Manager in achieving KPIs.
• Model leadership and promote wellbeing across the district.
• Deliver high-quality and efficient ambulance service within the district.
• Monitor performance and report risks and opportunities.
• Develop and implement operational plans and strategic initiatives.
• Report risks to KPIs and assist in managing them.
• Lead operational team with objective-setting and performance reviews.
• Collaborate with functions to improve district performance.
• Develop partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead district compliance with policies and clinical guidelines.
