Job summary

Flinders University is seeking an organised Higher Education Officer to maintain alumni and donor records, coordinate activities and support day-to-day operations within the Alumni and Advancement team.

You will gain exposure to alumni relations, fundraising operations, and stakeholder engagement in a collaborative university environment, with a focus on accurate data management and service excellence.

Qualifications

  • Experience using CRM or database systems, with Raiser's Edge experience highly regarded.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with others.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain attention to detail, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining accurate alumni, donor and stakeholder records in Raiser’s Edge.
  • Supporting data entry, record updates, gift processing and routine data maintenance activities.
  • Providing administrative support including meeting coordination, minute taking, document preparation and responding to enquiries.

About the Role

The Alumni and Advancement Operations Officer provides administrative support to help the University maintain accurate alumni and donor records, coordinate activities and events, and support the day-to-day operations of the Alumni and Advancement team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised administrator to gain exposure to alumni relations, fundraising operations and stakeholder engagement within a collaborative university environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining accurate alumni, donor and stakeholder records in Raiser’s Edge.
  • Supporting data entry, record updates, gift processing and routine data maintenance activities.
  • Providing administrative support including meeting coordination, minute taking, document preparation and responding to enquiries.
  • Assisting with alumni events and engagement activities, including registrations, logistics and record management.
