Job summary

MMG Rosebery in Tasmania seeks an Alternate Manager - Mine Operations to provide operational leadership and statutory coverage, while guiding underground production.

You will oversee mining contractors, strengthen safety and compliance, develop high‑performing teams, and drive commercial performance to support a mine with 90+ years of history.

This role offers exposure to senior leaders and a clear path to career growth in a setting known for stability and opportunity.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success leading mining operations and contractors.
• Experience in mine design and production scheduling.
• Strong contract administration and commercial governance skills.
• Experience conducting contractor audits and performance reviews.
• A Mining Engineering qualification and First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate - Metalliferous Mining will be highly regarded.
• A strong commitment to safety, compliance and team performance.

Reporting to the Mine Manager, this is a key operational leadership role with statutory accountability and genuine influence. You’ll provide coverage for the Manager - Mine Operations while leading safe, sustainable and cost-effective underground production.
