Job summary

Talent Acquisition Group – Sydney Airport NSW is seeking an experienced trade-qualified Chef to join a large-scale aviation catering operation at Sydney Airport. This role involves preparing airline meals in a fast-paced, compliance-driven kitchen, with a rotating 7-day roster and full-time hours.

You will work in a structured environment, follow HACCP and food safety standards, and contribute to a high-volume production team focused on consistency, yield, and timely flight servicing.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery is required.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience as a fully qualified Chef.
• Experience in high-volume production.
• Excellent knife skills and strong technical cookery fundamentals.
• Sound HACCP and food safety knowledge.
• Ability to follow detailed specifications and recipes precisely.
• Strong time management and ability to work under pressure.
• Availability to work across a 7-day rotating roster.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and assemble a wide variety of hot and cold food items in accordance with airline specifications.
• Follow standardised recipes, production schedules, and presentation guidelines with precision.
• Monitor food quality at all stages of preparation to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Portion and label products accurately according to control specifications.
• Ensure timely completion of production targets to meet flight schedules.
