Job summary

Mint Airconditioning & Refrigeration in Canberra is seeking two experienced Air Conditioning Installers to join our installation division. This full-time role involves installing ducted and split air conditioning systems across domestic and light commercial projects, working with a skilled team of refrigeration mechanics, electricians and installers.

Candidates should have proven experience with residential HVAC, a White Card and a valid Australian driver's licence.

Qualifications

• Experience installing ducted air conditioning systems.
• Experience in domestic and/or light commercial HVAC.
• Current White Card and Australian driver’s licence.
• Good knowledge of ductwork, zoning and installation standards.
• Attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Install residential and light commercial ducted air conditioning systems.
• Install split and multi-split systems where required.
• Install and run flexible and rigid ductwork.
• Install supply air outlets, return air systems and plenums.
• Install zoning systems, zone motors and related components.
• Position indoor and outdoor units and connect services.
• Install refrigeration pipework and drainage where licensed.
• Read installation plans and work with the team to complete projects.
• Complete installations neatly and to a high standard.
• Maintain clean and organised job sites.
• Work safely in customers' homes, businesses and active sites.
• Follow Mint's WHS procedures and installation standards.

Air Conditioning Installers – 2 Positions Available

Mint Airconditioning & Refrigeration is a well-established Canberra HVAC company specialising in residential and light commercial air conditioning.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for two experienced Air Conditioning Installers to join our installation division.

This is a full-time position working as part of an experienced installation team across domestic and light commercial projects throughout Canberra and surrounding areas.

About the Role

The role will primarily involve the installation of ducted and split air conditioning systems, working alongside our qualified refrigeration mechanics, electricians and installation team.

Day-to-day work will include:

• Installation of residential and light commercial ducted air conditioning systems.

• Installation of split and multi-split systems where required.

• Installation and running of flexible and rigid ductwork.

• Installation of supply air outlets, return air systems, plenums and transitions.

• Installation of zoning systems, zone motors and associated components.

• Positioning and installation of indoor and outdoor units.

• Installation of refrigeration pipework, drainage and associated services where appropriately licensed.

• Reading installation plans and working with the team to complete projects efficiently.

• Completing installations neatly and to a high standard.

• Maintaining clean and organised job sites.

• Working professionally in customers' homes, businesses and active construction sites.

• Following Mint's WHS procedures and installation standards.

About You

We are looking for installers who already have experience within the air conditioning or HVAC industry and can confidently work as part of an installation team.

Ideally, you will have:

• Previous experience installing ducted air conditioning systems.

• Experience within domestic and/or light commercial HVAC.

• Good knowledge of ductwork, grilles, zoning and general air conditioning installation.

• Strong attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.

• The ability to work efficiently as part of a team.

• Good communication skills and a professional attitude.

• Reliability and punctuality.

• The ability to safely undertake physical work, including working in roof spaces.

• A current White Card.

• A current Australian Driver's Licence.

Relevant HVAC, refrigeration or trade qualifications are highly regarded.
