Job summary

Lendi Group in Sydney is seeking a Software Engineer – AI to join the AI Engineering team, building AI-powered products and agentic systems that support brokers, teams and customers.

You’ll work on Greenfield projects, developing AI agents, intelligent workflows and the underlying services across React frontends, TypeScript/Node.js backends, and cloud infrastructure to deliver practical, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals with hands-on experience in TypeScript, Node.js and React.
• Solid understanding of APIs, backend services, databases and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with AWS services such as Lambda and Step Functions and messaging technologies, plus MongoDB and/or DynamoDB.
• Genuine enthusiasm for AI and agentic systems, with demonstrated experience building or integrating AI-powered apps.
• Familiarity with AI concepts including LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, agent orchestration, evaluation, context management and tracing.
• Strong design and problem-solving skills, ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver scalable solutions.
• Proactive, ownership-driven approach; ability to work independently and manage dependencies.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain AI-powered applications, agentic systems and supporting services across Lendi Group’s technology platform.
• Develop full-stack solutions using TypeScript, Node.js and React, spanning frontend experiences and backend services.
• Build and integrate AI agents and intelligent workflows (RAG, prompt engineering, orchestration).
• Contribute to Greenfield engineering projects shaping designs and implementation approaches.
• Develop and maintain scalable, event-driven services using AWS, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Kafka and cloud-native infra.
• Own engineering work from design through testing, deployment and production verification.
