BizCover Pty in Sydney is seeking a mid-level software engineer to join our AI-first engineering team. You will build with agents, run POCs, and ship production-ready features in a regulated insurance environment.

Expect to design specs, write up requirements, hand off to AI coding agents, and collaborate across the technology team to deliver observable services. We value pragmatic, security-minded engineers who ship value quickly.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in software engineering, including shipping LLM-powered applications.
• Agentic coding with daily use of AI coding agents in real delivery work.
• Spec-driven delivery with specs executed by an agent and reviewed output.
• Agent orchestration experience with multi-step workflows and failure handling.
• Strong fundamentals in Python, TypeScript/Node, API design, testing, CI/CD and AWS.

Responsabilités

• Build POCs quickly with LLMs, agents and MCP; define success metrics and evals.
• Write requirements → design → tasks; hand execution to AI coding agents under human review.
• Package workflows as skills, subagents, hooks and MCP servers for reuse.
• Orchestrate agents with patterns (orchestrator/worker, pipeline, fan-out, routing).
• Turn POCs into observable services and RAG pipelines with governance and security.
• Identify bottlenecks and propose stack changes backed by evidence.
