McMillan Shakespeare Group (MMS) is undergoing a major technology transformation in Australia. We are seeking an AI Engineer to design, develop, deploy and support secure, scalable AI solutions that deliver measurable business value.

The role blends software engineering, ML, generative AI and automation to build AI products, copilots, agents and intelligent workflows. You will work across business and technology teams to translate priority opportunities into production-ready solutions, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, AI or related field.
• Proven track record delivering AI/ML/generative AI solutions into production.
• Strong Python and software engineering skills, APIs, automated testing, source control and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test and deploy AI, ML and generative AI solutions aligned to business priorities and architecture.
• Develop copilots, AI assistants and intelligent automation to improve outcomes and productivity.
• Translate business problems into AI use cases, requirements and delivery plans.
• Build retrieval-augmented generation solutions, prompts, orchestration patterns, APIs and integrations with enterprise data platforms.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to source, prepare and manage data with quality and lineage controls.
• Apply MLOps practices including version control, automated testing, CI/CD, deployment, observability and documentation.
• Work with Cyber Security, Privacy, Risk and AI Governance to meet policies and regulatory obligations.
