Job summary

Rio Tinto’s Gudai-Darri operation in Western Australia is seeking an AHS Coach to elevate autonomous haulage performance. You will coach mine operations teams, driving safety, skill development and continuous improvement across the load, haul and dump cycle.

Reporting to the Capability Superintendent, you will apply data-driven coaching, liaise with OEMs, and lead recognition programs to boost productivity while maintaining safety standards. FIFO roster applies from Perth, 8 days on/6 days off.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4–5 years’ experience in AHS.
• Experience operating production loaders, diggers and ancillary equipment.
• Proficiency with MineStar systems.
• Previous pit patroller/technician experience is highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of AHS fundamentals and mining value drivers.
• High level of computer literacy with Rio Tinto systems and digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Rio Tinto health and safety standards and report hazards.
• Coach operators on load and ancillary equipment to lift AHS efficiency.
• Drive safe and efficient AHS operations across load, haul and dump cycles.
• Liaise with frontline leadership to identify improvements using data-driven insights.
• Review performance with operators to improve key equipment KPIs.
• Coordinate with OEMs to identify productivity best practices.
• Lead recognition programs to boost operator productivity.
• Foster continuous improvement and complete weekly AHS audits.
• Ensure timely reporting of safety incidents to supervisors.
