Job summary

Rio Tinto is seeking a Drill Inspector in Western Australia to oversee heavy maintenance inspections on a FIFO roster from Perth, Derby, or Busselton. You will inspect, repair, and monitor the heavy equipment fleet, contributing to safety and reliability while coordinating with Asset Health and planning teams.

You will use SAP to manage maintenance tasks and support continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring high equipment availability and compliant operations on site.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as Heavy-Duty Fitter or Plant Mechanic and relevant experience in heavy mobile equipment.
• Solid safety record and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Experience with SAP for maintenance tasks and planning.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of heavy mobile equipment and oversee two main floats at Yandi.
• Maintain safety and reduce downtime through proactive inspections and repairs.
• Record tasks in SAP and ensure timely, accurate completion of work orders.
• Collaborate with planning teams to prioritize work and optimize fleet availability.
